Nicole Whelan
Study Coordinator
Nicole Whelan is a Research Assistant currently working at ALSA Research LLC. She graduated from Fairfield University in May of 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. She is currently pursuing her master’s degree in clinical Mental Health Counseling. She aspires to practice in Connecticut post-graduation and publish her own research. Nicole is a member of the Sigma Xi Scientific Research Honors Society. She has two to three years of experience in clinical research, working on projects that primarily focused on adolescent mental health, LGBTQIA+ stigmatization and rights, depression, anxiety, co-occurring mental health disorders, and college-age mental health (primarily in female-identifying individuals). Nicole is proficient in data analysis using IBM SPSS software and is CPR certified by the American Heart Association.
Her role will support various areas of the company including billing, quality review of study sources, regulatory filings and submissions, unblinded verifying, recruitment, etc. Nicole’s assistance plays a crucial role in supporting the team at ALSA Research.
