Family Nurse Practitioner & Clinical Research APRN

Tenzin Yangzom, FNP-BC, is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Clinical Research APRN with expertise in primary care, emergency medicine, and clinical research. She currently works at ALSA Research LLC, where she serves as a sub-investigator in Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials, focusing on hypothyroidism, type 2 diabetes, as well as vaccines for Lyme Disease, CMV, and influenza. Tenzin is also a Nurse Practitioner at Core Medical Group in Bridgeport, providing non-surgical orthopedic care and pain management.

Tenzin has a strong clinical background, having worked as an emergency department RN at Bridgeport Hospital since 2016, where she supports high-acuity care and assists with procedures like central line placement and intubations. Her previous experience includes managing acute and chronic conditions in primary care, women’s health, and school-based clinics. She holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Simmons University (2022), a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Western Connecticut State University (2019), and an Associate Degree in Nursing from Berkshire Community College (2016). Tenzin is licensed in Connecticut and California and is certified in ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC.
